he founded a society in 1923 named “Anjuman Mufidul Islam” Khamgaon. No doubt it was a Herculean task that he dared to do. He was a staunch believer in Allah That’s why he did not care much for men, material & resources.

At that time Mr.Ghulam Yasin Khan sensed of having a great potential & abilities in a young man who just passed his metric exam named Khan Abdul Rehman Khan called him to join this noble cause.

Soon with the registration of the society these visionaries pulled there socks up- hired two rooms in the city and thus Anjuman High School Emerged on the horizons of Khamgaon initially with two sections Std. 5th & 6th Few months unfolded and society purchased an open plot adjacent to Municipal Marathi School No.1. The society Managed to collect the funds and four Rooms were constructed on this land in the year 1924 but this was not enough to need the demand as in flow of the students continued from all corners of Berar and the strength grew rapidly left with no other option, the existing structure was expanded with temporary the structure / Shades comprising of bamboo and metal sheets. The said structures served dual purpose- as a school in the daytime and as a hostel thereafter in the night for outsiders.

In 1927 high school classes were started and to cope up with increasing strength of students temporary shades were erected and building was also hired by the society. In 1929 the Governor of C.P. and Berar sir Montague butler was approached for financial assistance. His Excellency agreed to pay RS. 66,000. as a help on the condition that balanced 34,000. Would be arranged by executive body / society. To fulfill this condition efforts were made by the society, Prince of Berar of the Hydrabad State made a valuable contribution of Rs. 19,000. President of the society Mr.Gulam Yasin Khan Contributed Rs. 12,000. another two members Haji Karim Haji Dawood and Shakur Bhai Jointly Contributed Rs. 3,000. The present location of Anjuman High School is the outcome of rententless efforts of founder members out of the funds arranged by way of donations mentioned above Rs.1050. were spent for purchasing around 14 acres of land at Nandura road (Jalam Naka) two separate buildings of high school and Junior Collage (Science Stream) were constructed the material which remained surplus was utilized in constructing hostel building, Quarter of hostel incharge. The hostel building remained partially constructed but it was opened for the hostellers- adequate water was made available by digging fairly Large and deep well in the campus.
