About the Institution...

If we look back in to the pre-independence era, in our country particularly early two decades of the nineteenth century, getting education was a difficult dream to get materialized. People had to travel long distances for this purpose. Fewer modes and means of transport & conveyance (practically nil as compared to present ones) added more to the difficulties of people during that period. Sensing the need & gravity of the situation, Mr. Ghulam Yasin Khan Saheb, with his staunch allay Mr. Haji Ahmad Haji Ali Dhorajiwala took the challenge of constructing a school for the Muslims of Berar, as there was no other institution for them to educate their children in Urdu medium. They had to go to Amravati for the said purpose. Majority of the Muslims was illiterate labors and agriculturists. By the help of Almighty “ALLAH” he founded a society in 1923 named “Anjuman Mufidul Islam” Khamgaon. More
